My Name Is Bill Vitalec

I work in the medium of Scratchboard Art.  I am a member of ISSA (International Socity of Scratchboard Artist).  I have worked in several other mediums.  The first time I saw a Scratchboard  Artwork, I was amazed and wondered how those images were generayed by scratching a black surface.  The more I looked into it the more I was captivated by it.  Scratchboard Art is an old concept that has evolved over time.  I have studied the work of other Scratchboard Artists, read as much as I can, and watched any videos that were available.  I am still learning as much as I can and still evolving in my art.  I have added color to my pieces using a water base paint to highlight the work.  A final coat of varnish is sprayed over the work to bring out the billiance of the color.
I have been involved with art my entire life, and I will not stop.  However, none has captured my interest more than Scratchboard Art.
